Full Description

Backflow Technicians are at the forefront of our business. They are the people who get us in the door with most of our customers. Our business has a leg up in the industry by providing certified backflow testing and maintenance. From there we expect our technicians to inform the customer of the many other services that we provide. We look for technicians that have a great attention to detail. Technicians also need to be able to work independently and self driven. There is a strong emphasis on understanding the equipment used to perform these jobs as well as the maintenance for that equipment. The technician is responsible for making independent decisions under pressure on critical needs.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00/hr

• $1500 Sign-on Bonus (After 90-day probationary period)

Responsibilities:

• Test, certify and fill out paperwork for backflow devices
• Locate and repair leaks on backflows and adjacent water lines.
• Repair, Clean, Rebuild Backflow devices from ½” - 12”
• Install copper, steel, plastic water lines to accommodate Backflow Devices
• Problem Solving
• Maintain proper PPE and other safety equipment.

Skills:

• Ability to operate and maintain plumbing tools and equipment
• Ability to work independently
• Good communication skills
• Minimal technical knowledge for work order management applications
• Strong sense of urgency, problem solver and takes initiative
• Ability to adapt quickly to changes in scope or direction and be flexible in adopting changes quickly
• Ability to organize truck and job site
• Advanced knowledge of water systems and how they are installed
• Some code knowledge required.

Qualifications:

• State Drivers License with no more than 2 points or DUI within 7 years
• 2 or more years of experience
• A High School diploma or equivalent education preferred 
• Ability to lift heavy objects. (Typically exceeding 50lbs)
• Requires basic hand tools
